Visit us and have a fit - a contact lens fit that is.

Actually here at Carolina Vision Care the procedure is called a contact lens fitting, and if you need vision correction, we would like for you to give some serious thought to the possibility of wearing contact lenses.

We specialize in hard to fit contact lenses. Astigmatism correction, bifocals, gas permeable, soft, extended wear, and disposables are all part of our contact lens service. We prescribe and fit many different types of contact lenses and through a thorough eye examination we can determine what's best for you. In recent years, there have been great improvements in the area of contact lenses. Many people even though they have been told years ago that it was out of the question, can now wear contact lenses. Contact lenses are available in many shapes, sizes, materials and colors.

People who wear bifocals can also be fitted with contact lenses. In some cases, bifocal lenses are the best option. In others, the technique of monovision is popular. Monovision is the technique of using one eye for distance vision and the other eye for near vision.

Of course contact lenses are not for everyone and for patients that wear contact lenses keep in mind you will also need to have eyeglasses. Not everyone can or should wear the same contact lens type and brand. All eyes are different - depending on health problems, allergies, type of vision problems, tear flow, lifestyle, etc., and require a specific fit or lens material.

With the many advancements in contact lenses in recent years, we can now fit more patients than ever before. Be sure to schedule an appointment soon or call our office for more information. We like our patients to visit us and have a fit.
